Since Dynamics CRM 2013 we’ve been able to create our own APIs within the XRM framework using the Custom Action process type. Recently a new option appeared in the maker portal called Custom APIs which sounded very similar, so Mark thought to take a look.
Currently, we need to create http requests to retrieve the metadata of the entity or attributes of any entity. But now, CDS introduced a Web API method which helps you retrieve any entity metadata easily without creating any http requests.
